Dominique is a graduate of North Carolina A&T State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Sports & Fitness Management as well as a Master of Arts in Teaching Physical Education. Dominique served as an Assistant Principal in Edgecombe County for over a year and now serves as Principal Resident and Assistant Principal in Johnston County at South Johnston High School. Dominique has always had a passion for sports which led him to South Johnston High School where he served as the Physical Education Teacher, Head Track Coach, Head Junior Varsity (JV) Football Coach, and Head JV Girls Basketball Coach. Dominique has also served as an interventionist, where he took on a mentor role with “at-risk” students. Dominique is passionate about equity and providing a quality education for all students. DOMINIQUE IS A FELLOW IN THE JOHNSTON PRINCIPAL LEADERSHIP ACADEMY
The Johnston Principal Leadership Academy (JPLA) will work with Johnston County Public Schools in Smithfield, North Carolina. A grant from the state of NC through the North Carolina Alliance for School Leadership Development (NCASLD) funds JPLA, including full scholarships for JPLA’s Fellows. JPLA was modeled after NC State’s nationally recognized Northeast Leadership Academy (NELA). NELA earned the honor of being named an Exemplary Educational Leadership Program by the University Council for Educational Administration.
